Managing Director EOS Italy (m/f/d)

EOS Group is embarking on a full-scale entry into the Italian market, an established key territory for non-performing loan investments. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for building the EOS Italy organization from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to shape the strategy, structure, and culture of a new business unit within an international group that is leading the NPL investment and servicing landscape in Europe. 

Reporting directly to the EOS Group Board, you will set the strategic agenda for EOS Italy, allocate capital, and drive performance across unsecured and secured NPL portfolios. Combining an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong results orientation, you will originate and lead Italy’s most significant transactions, build strategic partnerships, and actively steer portfolio performance to deliver strong returns and sustainable growth. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategy for a full-scale market entry, ensuring alignment with EOS Group objectives. 
  • Lead the establishment and organizational setup of EOS Italy, including formation of teams, processes, and systems from scratch. 
  • Support recruitment, as well as motivate, and manage the Italian team, fostering a high-performance culture and professional development. 
  • Identify and manage investment opportunities in the Italian market Including representation of EOS Italy in negotiations and complex multi-party processes. 
  • Oversee the entire deal lifecycle, from sourcing to closing, and ensure post-deal performance meets targeted returns. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, partners, and advisors. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage risk across all business activities. 
  • Provide decision-ready insights and strategic recommendations to the EOS Board, ensuring transparency on portfolio performance. 
  • Drive innovation, digitalization, and proactively identify new growth opportunities for EOS Italy. 

This is what you bring to the table:

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in NPL investments and/or servicing, distressed debt, real estate finance, investment banking, or related fields, with a proven history of leading transactions and managing portfolios independently. 
  • Demonstrated track record in building organizations or business units, ideally in a start-up or market-entry context. 
  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Law, or Business Administration; a CFA or MBA or equivalent from a leading international business school is a strong plus. 
  • Deep understanding of the Italian financial market and regulatory landscape. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align teams across functions. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and analytical thinking enabling sound, fact-based decision-making in complex situations. 
  • Fluent in Italian and English is mandatory.
